File setup
Artwork guidelines for folders
Folders fold, glue and cut in several places. A few setup rules keep your logo and text clear of those lines.
Ask for a die-line template first
Each folder style and size has its own die-line: the flat shape with cut lines, fold lines and glue areas. Tell us which folder you want on the quote request form and we will send the matching template.
File setup checklist
- Add 0.125 in (3 mm) bleed past every cut edge.
- Keep text and logos 0.125 in inside cut and fold lines.
- Leave pocket glue areas free of important art.
- Use 300 dpi images at final size.
- Outline fonts or embed them in the PDF.
- Set foil, spot UV and emboss areas on separate layers, in 100% black.

Color
Send files in CMYK for full color printing. For exact brand colors, name your Pantone numbers and we will print them as spot colors where the job allows.
From file to proof
- Upload your file with the quote form, or email it after you get your quote.
- We check bleed, resolution, color and layers.
- We place your art on the die-line and send a digital proof.
- You approve or ask for changes before printing starts.
