Custom Plastic Folders Printed on Tough Poly

Custom plastic folders are printed polypropylene folders that survive rain, coffee spills and months in a bag. They suit field teams, classrooms, clinics and anyone whose paperwork gets handled hard.

  • Polypropylene stock
  • Water resistant
  • Two heavy-duty pockets
  • Card slits optional

Where Poly Beats Paper Board

A paper folder starts to fray at the spine after a few weeks of use. Poly does not tear along the fold, and its surface wipes clean with a damp cloth. That makes it the right pick when one folder must last a full school year or a long project.

Water is the other big difference. A coated paper folder soaks through at the edges if it sits on a wet counter. A poly folder keeps contracts, forms and job sheets dry on a jobsite or a delivery route.

Poly also costs you fewer reorders. One durable folder can replace several paper ones that wear out over a term or a season. If your folders mostly sit on a desk, paper board may be enough, but if they travel daily, poly earns its place. Tell us about the use when you request a plastic folder quote and we will suggest the right gauge.

Printed Plastic Folders With Pockets That Hold Up

Most orders use a two pocket poly layout at 9 x 12 in, the same footprint as our standard 2 pocket paper folders. The pockets are welded or folded from the same sheet, so they do not peel open when stuffed. Heavy-duty poly keeps its shape even with a thick packet inside.

You can add business card slits on either pocket. A 3 prong fastener in the spine turns the folder into a light binder for handbooks and course packs. Your quote confirms which options suit the stock you choose.

How to Order Your Poly Folders

  1. Tell us how the folder will be used, such as outdoor field work, classroom handouts or patient intake.
  2. Pick clear, frosted or solid poly and the number of pockets you need.
  3. Send your logo or full artwork; we flag any colors that need a white ink base.
  4. Approve the free digital proof showing ink placement on the poly.
  5. Receive your printed plastic folders, packed flat and ready to fill.

Printing Your Logo on Vinyl and Poly

Custom vinyl folders and poly folders take ink differently from paper, so we print with inks made to bond to plastic. Full color CMYK works well for photos and gradients. Pantone spot colors give an exact match on logos.

Clear and frosted poly let the first page show through, which works well for course titles or report covers. On colored or clear poly, white ink lays down a base so your colors stay bright. Our artwork guidelines for print files explain how to set up a white ink layer.

Who Orders Personalized Plastic Folders

  • Contractors who carry permits and plans to wet jobsites
  • Clinics that want intake folders they can wipe clean
  • Trainers handing out course packs with a 3 prong spine
  • Delivery and field service teams with daily paperwork
  • Sales reps who reuse one folder through many meetings

Custom Plastic Folders: questions we get

Are plastic folders fully waterproof?

The poly itself does not absorb water, so the folder resists spills and rain. Water can still slip in through open pocket edges if the folder is submerged. For most field and classroom use, papers inside stay dry.

What is the difference between vinyl and poly folders?

People use the two words for the same product. We print on polypropylene, which is light, flexible and tear resistant. It is what most buyers mean when they ask for custom vinyl folders.

Can I get a clear plastic folder with my logo?

Yes. Clear poly lets the top sheet show through, and your logo prints over it. A white ink base under the logo keeps it solid and easy to read.

Will the print scratch off?

We use inks made to bond with poly, so normal handling will not lift them. Very sharp objects can still scratch any printed surface. A wipe with a damp cloth cleans the folder without harming the print.

Do you make plastic folders in other sizes?

Letter size at 9 x 12 in is the most common, and legal size is quoted on request. For a paper option in the same layout, see our custom pocket folders range.

How many plastic folders can I order?

We quote short runs and bulk orders. Your quote confirms quantity, turnaround and delivery.
